After watching a really fast, close GP."F" race, it was time for some non winged wonders to hit the track. Jim broke in the sticky lanes before the race & by the time the GP."F" race was over, the track was in PRIME CONDITION. But were we? Sure the new ANY CHASSIS GOES cars were speedy but would they stay in the slot in the CRASH & BURN format? The answer...sort of. Most of us went w/ some sort of GT-12 chassis & they seemed to be good. I went pretty fast in qualifying (but not faster then a Flexi based GTP) & then the walking on eggs began. This was tough racing. In the end I won but wasn't even close to the fastest. Back to the drawing board..perhaps something 'scratch built' w/ more movement? I T.Q.ed & won the race but wasn't satisfied w/ the results as I figured it would take 20 more laps than I turned to win. In the LMP race, it was back to traditional racing. I ran a thin O/S Audi (long) that I tried last time I was there. It was a little too loose to be ideal but fast down the straights & stayed on well if not pushed too hard. The .030 C-11 center/ .025 C-11 pan combo was good again but I fell off at the beginning of a couple of segments that was 'driver error' & a complete screw up in Crash & Burn racing. Still the car went 224 laps to win & T.Q.ed so I can fault myself & not the equipment that I didn't go over 230 laps in the LMP Race. The GTP weighed in @ 65.9 grams while the LMP was 79.4 grams.
