IMPORTANT: Schedule revision for Scale Series races, May 21
Please note that on page 7 of the rules under “Schedule,” the fourth listed item says, “Lunch break will be 11:00 to 11:30 AM. Track Owner may direct that there be no lunch break due to business considerations (e.g., scheduled birthday party) …”
We have such a case for the May 21 Scale Series.
Jim realized today that he has scheduled a birthday party from 1:00-2:00 PM on May 21, which is, of course, right in the middle of the Scale Series race program.
Given the conflict and not wanting Jim to lose the birthday party, following is the revised race-day schedule with revisions in red. With these changes, especially if we have as few racers as we’ve been seeing, I believe we can be finished by 4:30 PM. This would get out-of-town racers back on the road home at a reasonable time. Or, if everyone present would prefer, we can relax and take it slowly and run the entire racing program after the birthday party.
● Raceway opens by 9 AM.
● GTP tech opens at 10:30 AM.
● GTP tech closes at 11:00 AM.
● GTP concours will be awarded at 11:00 AM
● GTP qualifying will start no later than 11:15 AM.
● GTP Main seeds and lane selections will be made immediately after qualifying.
● GTP race(s) starts as soon as the Race Director has it set up after lane selection. We will make every effort to start the GTP race no later than 11:45 AM. If there is only one Main and it has 8 or fewer racers, this should allow us to complete the race before the 1:00 PM birthday party start.
● Lunch break will be after the GTP race and will run to 2:00 PM.
● LMP tech opens at 2:30 PM.
● LMP tech closes at 3:00 PM.
● LMP concours will be awarded at 3:00 PM
● LMP qualifying will start ASAP after tech closes.
● LMP Main seeds and lane selections will be made immediately after qualifying.
● LMP race(s) starts as soon as the Race Director has it set up after lane selection.
