Novice Class
We had three racers declare for the Novice Class, so for the first time we had a stand-alone race for them, and all did very well using cars prepared by Kurt Van Delden. Racers ran three four-minute heats for a total of 12 minutes of racing. It was a pretty close race, and without near the carnage to follow in LMP and Pro GTP. Here are the results:
TQ: Connor Van Delden...TBD
Results (racer...laps...fast time):
1. Connor Van Delden...116...5.029
2. Jackson Ramsey...114...4.907
3. Laura Grabow...97...5.630

This was a very close race, with local ace Deron Mueller leading Heath Hall home by less than a lap. I managed third after Deron "Junior" Mueller's car broke in the final heat.

Our first Novice grid in 2019:
...and our first Novice podium, L-R: Laura Grabow, third; winner Connor Van Delden; second-place Jackson Ramsey
The LMP grid, minus the three sit-out cars. Note that all are Toyotas and Orcas, with neither Acura nor Audi in sight...a changing of the LMP Guard.
LMP podium, L-R: Heath Hall, 2nd; winner Deron Mueller; third, Scott Taylor
Pro GTP grid. Not too many of these cars weren't wrinkled wads of Lexan by the time we got through with 'em.
Pro GTP podium, L-R; Heath Hall, third; winner Ken Stevens; second-place Kurt Van Delden
