Open-Wheel Indy/F1 Charles Campa and James Meadours made their moves in the last heat to take first and second. My car was fast but I spent too much time with it out of the slot. James’s brother Joe, visiting from Sacramento, CA, took part in his first slot car race in 30 years and did well, breaking 100 with the tricky open-wheel car.
Results, modified crash-and-burn format (racer.laps.FT):
1. Charles Campa.......183......6.9132
2. James Meadours.....178......6.8591
3. Scott Taylor...........176......6.3202
4. Joe Meadours........104......8.5080
Scale LMP Charles’s brother John joined in to make it a 5-racer affair in Scale LMP. In this one, all of us crashed much too often, so lap totals weren't real impressive for these cars. I managed to take the win, and James was second, pulling away from Charles in the last heat after a race-long battle. John was fourth and Joe rounded out the field, making an impressive 25% improvement in his lap total of the Indy/F1 race.
Results, modified crash-and-burn format (racer.laps.FT):
1. Scott Taylor...........211......6.0386
2. James Meadours.....196......6.3668
3. Charles Campa.......188......6.8045
4. John Campa..........162......7.4691
5. Joe Meadours........125......8.0780
